Nottoway Team Places 2nd in Area V Dominion Envirothon

The Nottoway team placed Second Overall at the Area V competition held at Sweet Briar College near Lunchburg on April 25.  They took first place with their Oral Presentation.  Now they proceed to the state competition scheduled for May 19-20 at James Madison University.  Good luck team!

Who We Are

The Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is a non-profit, political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia operating primarily on a grant basis with funds from state and local governments. Piedmont SWCD provides technical and educational assistance for natural resource conservation to land users, farmers, foresters, homeowners, and local governments in Amelia, Nottoway, and Prince Edward Counties. Since 1939, the District has delivered voluntary, locally-led conservation solutions to natural resource concerns.
