Conservation Partners from Amelia, Nottoway and Prince Edward County enjoyed good conversation and tasty treats while perusing wall to wall education exhibits at the October 13th Open House at the Piedmont SWCD’s office in Farmville, VA. An Open House is scheduled in Amelia, Virginia on Tuesday, November 3 from 10 am until 4 pm at the Amelia Service Center. Ya’ll come!
The Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is a non-profit, political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia operating primarily on a grant basis with funds from state and local governments. Piedmont SWCD provides technical and educational assistance for natural resource conservation to land users, farmers, foresters, homeowners, and local governments in Amelia, Nottoway, and Prince Edward Counties. Since 1939, the District has delivered voluntary, locally-led conservation solutions to natural resource concerns.
