Brian Loadholt, Amelia’s new District Conservationist, chatted with producer Henry Foster, Piedmont SWCD Conservation Specialist Paula Totten, and FSA’s Joan Poore during the Amelia Open House held Tuesday, November 3rd in the Amelia Service Center.
The Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is a non-profit, political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia operating primarily on a grant basis with funds from state and local governments. Piedmont SWCD provides technical and educational assistance for natural resource conservation to land users, farmers, foresters, homeowners, and local governments in Amelia, Nottoway, and Prince Edward Counties. Since 1939, the District has delivered voluntary, locally-led conservation solutions to natural resource concerns.
