Erosion & Sediment Control

Erosion and Sediment Control plan review and site inspections are performed by  Amelia, Nottoway, and Prince Edward Counties and the Towns of Blackstone, Burkeville,  Crewe, and Farmville in an effort to minimize environmental impact of land-disturbing activities.  Piedmont SWCD staff is available to assist with inspections when needed and to provide information as requested.  The E&S Control Program’s goal is to control the soil erosion, sedimentation and runoff of regulated land-disturbing activities to protect Virginia’s natural resources and private property.
