Summer Environmental Day Camp
In cooperation with Peter Francisco SWCD, Piedmont SWCD sponsors an annual week-long day camp for rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders. The camp focuses on the importance of watersheds. Students learn how what we do in our watershed affects not only water quality but other natural resources. They get hands-on field experiences with activities like wildlife identification, biological and chemical aquatic monitoring, farm and other facility tours, GPS reading and soil analysis.
